Rio’s Dance Lessons

Upon entering Rio’s Dance Studio, which is the building with the yellow roof, next to treasure chest 3, a minigame will immediately start. You will need to copy how Rio moves by pressing the correct directional keys. Each round is an extension of the last one by two steps, so start by memorizing the three steps on the first round, perhaps by writing them down somewhere. Then on the second round, you will need to memorize the next two steps after the first three, and so on.

Rewards:
– 5 Steps: Rio’s Dance Shoes (Key Item; Increases movement speed)
– 7 Steps: Rio’s Ring (Ring; +5 to all stats, +6% Evasion)
– 11 Steps: Dancing Gold Star (Accessory; +300 AGIL)
– 15 Steps: 800G

The Medicine Thief

Talk to Father Gespucci about the man with the cross. He reveals him as Ezekiel and shares a little bit about his background. Afterwards, exit the church, where two children will enter the church right as you are exiting. Re-enter the church and listen to the children talk to Ezekiel about their mother’s stolen medicine. Kyme will offer to help find the thief, who Ezekiel says is actually an assassin. After the dialogue, head to the southern area of Province Town.

The Medicine Thief (3)

After confronting the assassin at the southern area of Province Town, head to the back room in the church. A battle with only Kyme as the available party member will trigger. Countering the assassin is particularly effective since he can use Rapid Stab, but otherwise a Sever Artery here and there, and some Recovers to restore MP for additional counters will easily take him down. Afterwards, a second battle with the assassin will trigger with Kyme and Ezekiel as controllable characters. Just hit the assassin as hard as you can with your new party member and he’ll go down very fast. Ezekiel will join your party after defeating the assassin again. Before heading out, make sure to search the bag in the back room (the one the assassin was hiding the medicine in) for some consumable items and a Junior Assassin Badge (Accessory; +4% Critical Rate). Also, the house with the green roof can now be entered.

The Magician of Province

After getting the medicine back from the assassin, a magician will appear on the makeshift stage, which is the area with the two wooden pillars. He asks you to find some supplies for his next magic show: Magic Water inside a place where the water flows up, and the Lamia’s Chalice. Head to the water cave in the northern area of Province Town and to the eastern area of Mount Verner. Afterwards, give him the items and he will send you to an unknown forest and join you there. Note that you cannot exit this place until the battle at the final area is won, and you also cannot return once you leave, so prepare accordingly before handing over the items to him. In the final area, a battle consisting of all four of the elementals you previously encountered will trigger once you interact with the statue. Having Kyme cover while someone else casts Reflect Magic on him will help in preventing their magic from hitting you. The reflected magic attacks will heal the elementals since they absorb the element of the magic they cast, but it’s better than getting hit by a Wet + Lightning combo.

Join Forces with Mr. Bunny

The Especially Delicious Carrot obtained from beating Jack in Liar’s Dice can be given to Mr. Bunny. It will join you as a Pet Bunny (Ground Furniture).

Umbra’s True Inheritance

At some point, Crankeye will apparently become crazier than usual, which is hinted when some NPCs start talking about how he’s been making a fuss every night. He will give Umbra a letter from someone called “Crow, Magistrate of the Dead”. Head back to the end of Demon Claw Swamp to find out what Umbra’s true inheritance is.

Catching the Grand Thief (7)

After Koy tells you about the abandoned alchemy shop, head to it to search for clues. Upon entering, the young alchemist, Claire, will battle you. She can accelerate Burn and Poison damage, so make sure to cure any conditions she inflicts on you as soon as possible. After defeating her, Tal will enter the shop and also battle you. His physical attack can inflict Poison, and he can also give himself a 30% DEF buff. After defeating him, both him and Claire will talk about how the Acarya saved them, essentially leading to a dead end regarding clues about how to reach him. If you haven’t already, start searching for the plant woman.

The Demon Possessing Jenna

At some point, James and Lily will be standing outside their house. Talk to them and watch the following cutscene, then talk to Father Gespucci afterwards. He will say that Archbishop Magnus, who just came back and is staying in the back room, may know something about Jenna’s situation, so talk to him as well. He will give you some Holy Water to let Ezekiel try and exorcise the demon that is possessing Jenna. Go back to her and a battle will start.

The Demon does a physical attack that inflicts Poison, as well as cast single and multi-target magic. Every 3 turns, it will also instantly defeat a party member of your choice. Phoenix Feathers also can’t be used during the battle. Because of this, an aggressive strategy is recommended. After defeating the demon, it will drop Cheese (Ingredient) and Demon’s Blood (Crafting Material). You will also gain a new journal entry.
