Jim Jam’s Daughter (2)

To enter Ferndale Glen, you will need a Resist Fairy Tonic, which you can get from Koy. Attempting to enter without it will cause you to exit the cave to where you came from. You do not need to equip it on anyone (although it will be useful for the upcoming battles), just have it in your inventory. Once inside, you will need to defeat the Fairy Brothers by going through both paths inside the holes on the ground. The puzzles here involve pulling the green and purple switches that raise or lower their respectively colored vines, plus some boulder pushing and lily pad jumping. Some rooms with these puzzles will have two of each switch, which are connected to each other.

Once the Fairy Brothers are defeated, they will reveal a new hole in front of the shrine. Climb down to the Mother’s Room and battle her. The battle will start with Confusion being applied to your party, so equip the Sanity Charm and the Resist Fairy Tonic on two different party members, one of them preferably being Ezekiel so he can remove it from the other two allies. Mother is basically a stronger version of a healing and defense debuffing Ferndale Fairy. The only things you really need to deal with are the Confusion and Hysteria. Otherwise, this battle should be pretty easy. Upon defeating her, she will drop a Fairy Soul (Card), a Fairy Lantern (Ground Furniture), and a Mother’s Ring (+8 to all stats).

Meeting Father

At some point after defeating Mother in Ferndale Glen, one of the Fairy Brothers will show up in the eastern area of Province Town. He says that Father wants to meet you. There isn’t really any difference between this battle and the one with Mother, so use the same strategy you used before. Father will drop a Rare Ring (Ring; +14 to all stats) and a Father’s Robe (Robe; +4 PDEF, +13 MDEF) when defeated.
