Lord Nefermaat’s Favor

Talk to Lord Nefermaat. He will ask you for a favor, the details of which can be received from The Vizier next to him. The Vizier will give you a Key to the Labyrinth, which unlocks the door in the maze in the southmost ladder. The Minotaur at the end of the maze must be defeated for its meat (it also drops Wood when defeated). The Minotaur deals high physical damage to a single target, and one Nerve, which inflicts the Diversion status, is also present.

After obtaining the Minotaur’s meat, give it to The Chef, who is the large green orc. He will also battle you after being insulted by Kyme. The Chef deals physical damage to all party members, and two Nerves are also present, one of them spawning in later. After defeating The Chef (he drops Fish, Onion, Carrot, and Orange), give the stew to the Chimera, who will also battle you.

The Chimera inflicts Poison and Bleed, and his charge skill will accelerate damage from those conditions, so Poison resistance is highly recommended. The Chimera drops an Antique Hay Cart (Key Item; Gift for Doc) when defeated.

After defeating the Chimera, go down the ladder behind it and follow the path that leads to the Knight, who will battle you as well. The Knight deals physical damage to the party member with the lowest HP, and also buffs himself with a 75% ATK and DEF buff. After defeating him, he will drop a Palladian Ingot (Crafting Material), a Knight Soul (Card), and a Royal Armor (Armor; +25 PDEF, +12 MDEF, starts every battle with a 75% ATK and DEF buff).

After all of that is done, talk to Lord Nefermaat, who will follow through with his first sentence and battle you. Along with using magic and inflicting Poison and Disease, he will also cast a permanent version of the Diversion status, making him very tricky to deal with. After defeating him, he will drop a Lunar Tear (Crafting Material), Nefermaat’s Banner (Wall Furniture), Nefermaat’s Blade (Sword; +49 PATK, +25 COND, +10 Max MP, +1 Bleed Duration, Casts Sever Artery when countering) and Nefermaat’s Crown (Head Equipment; +7 PDEF, +5 MDEF).
